Our Mission

The Association strives to promote the welfare of the membership and that of those engaged in the training of law enforcement personnel.  To promote excellence and professionalism in the training of all law enforcement personnel.  Be a liaison between the various local government agencies and those agencies concerned with the quality training of law enforcement personnel.  To make recommendations concerning training programs.  Be a channel of communication between and among the various law enforcement training programs, institutes, and law enforcement agencies throughout New York State.  Assist in providing advisement to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Bureau of Municipal Police.
 

 

 
 

Our Membership

If you are involved in law enforcement training or other related support services in the state of New York, you are eligible to join LETDANYS. You will enjoy the benefits incumbent in our association to all law enforcement trainers and we also look forward to the contributions that you can make.

In addition to police and peace officers, the membership includes in part; court security, the NYS Attorney General's Office, the NYS Inspector General's Office, corrections, tax investigations, parole, probation, housing, mental health, domestic violence prevention, transportation, environmental conservation, the A.S.P.C.A., and the Port Authority.

The Association has formed strong bonds over the many years with our affiliated sponsors and we appreciate all of them.
